Well, shootin' anyway.
Imagine, that after two years of asking (in the legal/court/govt sense) for the records of who visited VP Cheney, where and when, a Federal Judge orders the SS to produce the documents.
This is the proverbial good/bad news, for the nexus of greedy criminal bastardry is Cheney's office. He learned it from Poppy (GHWBush VP '81-'89) that the media, and Congress, never pay any attention to what goes on in the VP's office. (unless something goes really wrong... like Iran-Contra or shootin' yer huntin' buddy)
But now, if the W Admin. cannot delay or quickly find a higher judge to reverse the order, they will have to come up with another way to suppress the information.
And it just so happens that the IKE-carrier group arrives on-station in the Persian Gulf, in another 48 hours. A new moon also! Yipes!
Would that wretched sonofabitch really squeeze off a few rounds just to divert attention away from his coffee chat?
You bet your ass he would.
