the Blair-Welch Project

the Blair-Welch Project

When one makes a long-term bargain/compact/promise in order to achieve a short-term goal, and it succeeds, one is then expected to honor the terms of the 'bargain'.

Unless of course you are Prime-Minister Tony Blair.

In which case, not only are the terms "if", "then", and "when" subject to elastic re-definition, but you are also a 'politician'. And who has any right to believe what a Politician ever says? (Especially when an election is on the line?)

And at what point does Gordon Brown and the Labour MP's, who made the 1994 "deal with the more 'electable' devil", have a right to demand payment?

Apparently now !
